Dr. Florian Nagel

Dr. Florian Nagel carries a Master’s degree in Biology (main subjects: fisheries science, aquaculture and animal physiology) from the University of Rostock, Germany. He obtained a doctoral degree from the University of Göttingen in neurobiology, biochemistry and environmental biology with excellent grades, before managing multisided aquaculture projects focused on fish nutrition and health promoting factors. For several years Florian Nagel strengthened his experience in raw material evaluation and feed development for a variety of fish species in different production units. In 2013, he became research manager and scientific head of ALLER AQUA RESEARCH, the research and development facility of the international fish feed manufacturer; ALLER AQUA A/S. While in employment, Dr. Nagel continued to study at the Nordakademie, University of Applied Science in Hamburg from 2017 to 2019. He graduated as a Master of Business administration (MBA) with excellent grade for his Master thesis: “Innovation management – a bibliometric analysis as an entrepreneurial tool to prevent maturation of the aquafeed industry”. Dr. Nagel was announced as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at ALLER AQUA RESEARCH in Büsum, Germany immediately, a position he holds until today.
